IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY

Updated: Jul 2, 2021

The Sterling Machine Gun (British) tested in 1944-45, replaced the Sten in 1953 until production was stopped in 1983.

A brilliant piece of precision engineering and a great bit if kit. Never ever had a stoppage with this highly accurate long-range sniper weapon, awesome tank killer and artillery piece. The greatest and best-looking weapon I’ve ever fired. Ok, that is enough about the SMG or Imperial Storm trooper blaster standard issue. Couldn’t hit a barn door from twenty-five yards and would not penetrate wet combats. If you pulled the trigger everything seemed to be in slow motion, and it felt like the 9mm rounds were falling out of the end of the barrel. On a sunny day you could actually see the rounds going down range, not exactly high velocity.

Good points?

Well, none really. It could do a lot of damage if you threw it at someone, I suppose.

Ejection port made a good bottle opener, and it was great for making the holes in the doughnuts in the Sergeants' Mess. Standard issue in every kitchen! I seem to remember I had a white one, but l left it on the Death Star, when l was discharged from the army, in a galaxy far, far away. Bullies and Bullshit Warning! If easily offended, I advise you not to read this book. www.clivewardauthor.com
